The Valdosta Daily Times
VALDOSTA — A big rave to all those who worked this weekend at the Deer Festival in Lakeland to make it a successful event. Even though there were hundreds of people in the food lines, it went very smooth. They were very organized and went around to all the tables and asked if they enjoyed their meals and thanked them for coming. We really appreciated the great southern hospitality and all those who worked so hard to make this such a successful event.
I'd like To praise Talon Outdoors for all they do for the disabled. The Quail Hunt was an awesome experience thanks to all that helped make it a wonderful day .
Why is it school bus driver's don't obey the 25 mph school zone? It's a shame.
Lakeland: What is up with the recreation dept.? That park is run down, dangerous and just plain disgusting. Where O where has all the tax dollars gone?
Regarding the article about the DDS's online capabilities: While they're nice to have and might save you a trip to the DDS office, in my experience it's not worth the time. I've lived at my residence for a year. I tried to change my address online at DDS's website, but my address "couldn't be verified with the post office" -- OK, how do I get mail then?
I feel that what happened to the officer in Quitman, Ga. was just a eye opener for the public. People who risk their lives everyday to protect the public should get more praise and a better salary. The ones who aren’t in law enforcement are just too scared to do the job we do everyday.
Thumbs Down to the revised VDT Webpage. I want the old VDT webpage back. The layout is confusing, there is a lot of wasted space. The blue borders make the headings to click on hard to read in bright light.
As someone who teaches college, I believe none of our school systems should be bragging or pointing fingers. Students from all school systems all over our state and country arrive at college devoid of basic skills.
To the officer or officers that spotted the cars that were involved in robbery on Madison Hwy. you did a very good job. The runaway girl now will go home to her parents and they will not have to wait to see if she is deceased. Another child brought back home. Even if the Sheriff did not tell you or your fellow officers you did a good job, I am and so is the community.
