The Valdosta Daily Times
VALDOSTA — To the furloughed couple wanting those on welfare to take drug and lie detector tests, I will when politicians have to do the same. Politicians endlessly get more tax money than I. They have greater accountability and can cause far greater harm to Americans in many ways.
Great way for the state to save money — just do away with all teachers — let the parents do the job — would be a real eye opener to lots of folks ... might even stop the misconceived notion about how over paid our teachers are. God bless our school teachers. Don't cut teachers’ pay, cut out the pork.
Yep, let's furlough welfare recipients so you and your two-income family can take your vacation next year. Personally, I'd rather see a poor kid eat and a single parent pay the light bill.
Today I got a letter from the U.S. Census Bureau advising me I'll be getting another letter next week? This is how Washington spends our tax money?
The prisoners were eye balling you and your kids. Your message implied it was somehow threatening. So, just because they are prisoners, they can't enjoy watching a parent play with his/her kids? Honestly, do you think they were going to attack you or your kids? Please.
What a shame! My child is a student at JL Lomax and was denied lunch when another student knocked her tray over. All they could say is that they thought she was finished eating.
I would like to thank everyone who helped in the search to find “Jaycee” our lost family dog. If you sent an e-mail, rode in the car looking, asked someone if they had seen her, or put up a flyer for us, many thanks. Thanks to a neighbor who called me and to her neighbor who took care of her while she was under her house scared.
Lake Park Elementary needs to get their act together! The Pre-K registration was a joke! You have parents camping out to get a spot for their children to go to public school and then you have no organization. Plus all you could say was "I understand" when immature parents who thought this was a 'rock concert,' decided to rush to the door and push people down to get a number ahead of the people who had already been waiting for over 17 hours.
Parents, what is Valdosta High trying to hide by banning the students cell phones? There is something they don’t want you to know. Instead of banning them, make a rule that they can’t call unless there is an emergency.
