God has angels everywhere. My son, grandson and I were eating at Cracker Barrel and an anonymous person paid for our dinners and take out and gave us $100. Thank you and God bless you!
Northlake is a covenant restrictive subdivision. It says so at every entrance. Yet there are cars in yards, boats in yards and unmowed lots with 5-foot weeds. Don’t come down on the other residents for trying to uphold the neighborhood association rules. The proprietors won't do it, but they still send out their letter demanding the association dues every year. Go figure.
To the family that offered a free Christmas meal to any military man serving at Moody without a family nearby. Your ad on Craigs list put me in tears. You are an awesome and thoughtful group of people to be so supportive during this time of year. I hope you had a blessed Christmas!
Three cheers for the aggressive passengers on Flight 93. Local criminals need to take note. Home and business invaders will be met more and more aggressively with chances of fatal results. Society is tired of being passive.
I’m a college graduate struggling in a broken economy as a server. My income dropped from $250 a week to about $80 when the city blocked the James Road median. So, I moved the barrels. The city wasted $20,000 and crushed small business profit by 50 percent. Don't thank the city. I alone opened the median. You're welcome.
Georgia is behind the eight ball on employment rights and I applaud the deputies for standing up for their rights. Until people stand up for what they believe in, things will never get changed.
This advice comes from a retired police officer. It is legal and lethal and most valuable for women who live alone. Always take your car keys when you go to bed if someone breaks in push the alarm on your car. Also a can of wasp spray can be a weapon to defend yourself. Go for the eyes and mouth. It will spray up to 20 feet. Keep one in your car and one close by in your home.
To the woman who raved about the deputy for changing her flat tire in the cold, wet weather...kudos to him. I don’t feel it was necessary for you to knock everyone else because you’re either not able, not willing or can’t change your own tire. If the reasons above apply, maybe you should join AAA. It seems that fewer and fewer people today aren self sufficient and want everyone else to fix their problems for them.
