I work at a fast-food restaurant and I need to say, there are so many rude people in Valdosta. People need to remember that they are not the only ones who ordered something to eat. What happened to Southern hospitality? Adults get on to us younger generation for having poor attitudes, well maybe you should take a look in the mirror.
Would the superintendent of Freedom Park please have someone empty the trash bins along the Frisbee-golf course on a regular basis? Most of the bins are overflowing with trash. Those who use the course can help by placing their litter within the trash bins and not along the trails.
On Christmas day at 8 a.m. between exit 11 and 13 in the cold rainy weather, a Lowndes sheriff deputy was spotted changing a tire for two elderly “white” haired ladies. What a nice Christmas gesture. Thanks Sheriff Prine for this deputy and your team.

I encourage all citizens to push for local economic reform. Starting with industry here in Valdosta that have high employee turnover and low wages. I just don’t think the tax breaks our local elected hooligans granted these industries has justified the means.

The hospital wants the Mathis Auditorium land. They too must have a pocketbook to burn money and build. They should revitalize the old looking “doctor’s offices” on the corner of Pendleton and Ashley first.
To the person unhappy with the response from the Salvation Army, you need to know that through an error, the number in the phone book for Salvation Army this year is not its main number, but the men’s shelter. The correct office number is 242-6440.
