As expected, lines began forming at polling places throughout Lowndes County before the doors opened at 7 a.m. and as of 9:30, many are still reporting long lines for voters.
Voters are urged to be patient today as the lines are expected to be heaviest through the morning, lunch time and again after 5 p.m. Election officials state that as long as voters are in line at 7 p.m. when the polls close, they will be allowed to vote.
