Adult: Education begins in the home. You choose to not speak properly yet you expect the teachers to teach your child properly. If you don’t back the teachers then your child will not respect them and that leads to a poor education for your child. Your child sees you and your actions. Most children follow their parents.

The recent LAMP flyer claims we have 20,000 here in Lowndes County living at or below the poverty line. Hmmmmm, not hard to believe when you consider the amount of so-called “industry” here that pays at or below the poverty line in wages!

No wonder! I haven’t seen the Peanut Lady at my son’s baseball game in a while. ... The Peanut Lady has been selling at ball games forever. Shame on whoever banned the Peanut Lady!

I know two LMS students who have continuously been in trouble this year and had mostly failing grades; however, now they are being promoted because teachers no longer can give zeros, but have to record a 60, even for assignments not turned in! How is it ethical to give grades that weren’t earned and what does this teach about responsibility and consequence?

Concerning taking up multiple parking spots in “public” lots. Remember that these are mostly on private lots (including Walmart) and the only reason they don’t say anything is because they don’t want you taking your money elsewhere. A little courtesy, especially on busy days, goes a long way.
