Thank you Lashonda at Wendy's on St. Augustine for your sweet smile and awesome attitude! Others should learn their customer service skills from you.
Responding for Berrien Relay, you are obviously not a cancer survivor or you would not be worried about how much it cost the taxpayers to have the Relay on the square! FYI: Several of the officers were volunteering their services for the entire night. What have you done at no charge for your community lately?
Why do people complain about getting speeding tickets and/or so called "speed traps"? Were you speeding? OK, then you opened yourself up for getting a speeding ticket. Don’t want a speeding ticket? Ok, don't speed...it’s that simple folks!
Just wanted to thank Only Options for their outstanding customer service! Ordered a tux and it did not fit and they went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Other businesses should take lessons from this one!
If you can't afford gas to mow your properties, then sell it. An owner is responsible for all upkeep.
They are doing good things at the Mildred Hunter Center. If you’ve never kick boxed, before come on Tuesday and Thursday 6-7 p.m. I’m enjoying it. Thank you goes out to Andre Newsome.
I can understand the county putting out traps to catch strays but it is unacceptable to not put one drop of water in the traps and have these animals sitting in the sun all day without being checked! Something needs to change regarding this issue!!
Note to Moody, give us our plane back. I have never heard anyone complain about the plane being there or even about the utter lack of respect city officials have exercised in their custody of it. Even at its worst, it was a beautiful reminder of what these soldiers sacrifice daily. Make her shine and give it back.
I applaud the new city ordinance for keeping one's grass mowed. Thank you Mr. City Marshall. This has been way overdue. Citizens that do not mow their grass makes the neighborhood look really trashy especially when a homeowner wants their yard to look nice and neat. Kudos.
As a homeowner on Jerry Jones, I would like to give thanks to the Valdosta Police Officers that are giving tickets to all the speeders on Jerry Jones. Maybe they will realize the speed limit is 35 not 50. Keep up the good work!

Over 150 applicants applied for the handful of teaching jobs in Lowndes County. Plus, almost every single paraprofessional is a certified teacher who has been waiting patiently, “doing their time.” And, Lake Park Elementary hires a teacher who has quit, not once, but twice before. The "good ole' boy" network at its finest.

Have we progressed to the point where we are arguing about gay marriage? I thought the South was still outraged about blacks being able to marry whites! Hmm...We will catch up to the rest of the world eventually.

I found the cartoon referencing Tim Tebow's Christianity on Thursday's editorial page very offensive. I can agree that many people are out for what God can do for them, not how they can serve God, But I do not see any evidence of that attitude or life style in Tim Tebow's life. Time will tell.

Good riddance to the doctor unable to take Medicaid patients?! Do you work for free? I bet you go to work and expect a paycheck. Why would the doctor be any different? Blame our fearless leaders, not the doctors. And you are WAY out of line questioning whether that person is Christian or not. Sounds like the person who thinks preachers should work for free.

Amazing: Even a judgmental person like yourself can’t even bother to get the facts straight before you criticize something. Jason Collins did an extremely brave thing by coming out in a world filled with people such as yourself. Words of Wisdom: Leave the judging to God.

Raves to Mrs. Kay and Mrs. Sylvia at Cook Primary! They have the best behaved class and are the best teachers in that school!

To all who use Coleman Road as a short cut between Old Highway 41 North and North Valdosta Road, please remember the speed limit is 35, not 65. Tailgating me isn’t going to make me go faster. Remember, it’s our neighborhoods, not your short cut!

I hope Al Sharpton finds time to visit the mother in Brunswick whose baby was shot point blank in the forehead while in his baby stroller. Perhaps the reverend could also counsel the angry young black man who pulled the trigger. Oh wait, the baby was white. Never mind.

I thought that all schools had dress codes that the teachers and substitutes had to follow? When I walk into the school it looks like they are headed to the pool instead of the classroom. Tank tops and skimpy skirts are not allowed. Come on, administration, make them follow the rules. Thank you, to the teachers and staff that do adhere to the dress code.

Property tax should be based on value. School taxes should be separate and assessed to each household equally, no exemptions. The rich, middle and poor should pay equally for children's public education.
