Why don't you let Lanier First Responders know what your address is so they can ignore your emergency? You can just give yourself CPR. I’m sure they would rather spend time with their families than help an ungrateful citizen such as yourself. They respond and treat the patient until mutual aid arrives. Get it straight.
I'm going to start taking pictures of people paying for food with food stamps talking on their smartphones. Waste of my money!
A huge rave to A&M Auto on Bemiss. Got my truck repaired there recently and received the best service I could ask for. Also — when the labor hours ended up being less than what was quoted — I received a call to inform me the final charge would be less. I found my place for all future auto needs.
So, Brooks County doesn't have somewhere for those of us with extra garbage to dispose of it. If it can't fit it in the can that is provided by Thomasville Utilities then they don't pick it up. How absurd!
This is supposed to be a "free" country. If you cannot choose if you want a smart meter or not in your own home, that is the same as other countries controlling their society. Communism.
With reference to Caesar's latest decree from the White House, this government has no business granting work permits for up to 800,000 illegal aliens during a recession. Our own citizens need jobs. The illegals will take jobs that should have gone to Americans.
Can we please discuss something other than restaurant service? We've beaten that subject to death already.
There is not enough doctors in the SGMC ER to take care of patients. I was there 12 hours before they took me up to a room. They have one doctor to take care of patients. We need more doctors there. It is a shame to lie there for 12 hours.
I want to send a huge rave to the ladies of the Magistrate Court. It is greatly appreciated, the kindness and great customer service you provide to me as well as others that approach the Magistrate Court. Thanks again!
Please get your facts straight about the ambulance service in Lakeland. The ambulances do not run transports to generate income. The hospital has a separate service for that. If Berrien, Clinch, or Lowndes have to come to Lakeland, it’s because the Lanier paramedics are already on another emergency call.

I am a student at Valdosta State University, I pay thousands of dollars in tuition, but I am not allowed to use the Student Recreation Center because I am not taking summer classes. I was told that I have to pay $45 to use the Rec Center during the summer. As if I don't pay enough already... Utterly ridiculous.

Truly embarrassing that our community euthanizes 12 animals daily. Our citizenry hasn’t progressed to understand responsibility. The end result in these horrible economic times is the ongoing suffering of animals. Other locales nearby have solved this problem; mandatory spay/neuter and breeding licenses are needed to stop this scourge. Let’s get serious, please!

I think what the County Commissioners are doing to Deep South Sanitation is outrageous and I think the citizens of Lowndes County should remember this during the next election. They are giving away freedom of choice. This man had this trash collection before Advanced.

Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I'm quite pleased with Advanced Disposal. I'm paying less than I paid for service with Veolia, the service is reliable and they offer a large recycling bin. I don't understand what's "socialist" about offering county residents affordable, reliable service.

Closing the trash drop off was a big mistake. I live in Stone Creek so now I can’t put anything beside the street, now I have to haul it to the landfill and pay by weight. I had to pay $15, then I have to pay the trash pick up monthly. Something is wrong in this picture. I have a lot of yard waste, so now I have to take it to the landfill every time I clean yards.

I live in Brooks County. A while back, a limb fell at the edge of my yard. I called the road department asking to remove it. I was told they could not help because it was on private property. Later driving down Johnson Short Road, I saw the road department removing limbs from a yard. I have found out the limbs were on private property.
