Local pharmacies and doctors should give notices to their customers who give them business and not surprise them when they suddenly go out of business or move.
Why is VSU ticketing parents and patrons for parking during a VSU "hosted" event? Several parents received parking citations for parking without a permit during last nights Jazz Concert. As both a parent of a performing student and a VSU Alum, I find this a poor practice. Transportation should not be issuing citations at these events. These lots are actually listed as parking areas for these events on the VSU website. They certainly don't during football games. Even non VSU games.
Somebody is not telling us the truth about the real reasons for removing the McIntosh airplane ...
Really enjoyed the VSU, Valdosta and Lowndes Jazz concert last night held at the Whitehead Auditorium in the VSU Fine Arts Building. Great Job to all!
When the difference in gas prices are 5-10 cents higher, then someone is greedy and taking the public.

Rave to VCS for wanting to involve the community in the planning of the new Pinevale Elementary, BUT a HUGE rant that they chose February 14th to have the forum. Hello, is anyone thinking? It's Valentines Day! A day to celebrate your loved ones. Not a day to spend in a school cafeteria discussing floor plans. Have some respect for the families in the community, especially those who have made reservations, well in advance, of the announced meeting.
If the Berrien BOE would clean house at the board office with 49% salaries and triple figure assistants, they wouldn't have to penalize "other" programs, i.e., the medical clinic or local doctors for their "cut" of the dividends. After all, the med clinic was grant funded.

I am a student at Valdosta State University, I pay thousands of dollars in tuition, but I am not allowed to use the Student Recreation Center because I am not taking summer classes. I was told that I have to pay $45 to use the Rec Center during the summer. As if I don't pay enough already... Utterly ridiculous.

Truly embarrassing that our community euthanizes 12 animals daily. Our citizenry hasn’t progressed to understand responsibility. The end result in these horrible economic times is the ongoing suffering of animals. Other locales nearby have solved this problem; mandatory spay/neuter and breeding licenses are needed to stop this scourge. Let’s get serious, please!

I think what the County Commissioners are doing to Deep South Sanitation is outrageous and I think the citizens of Lowndes County should remember this during the next election. They are giving away freedom of choice. This man had this trash collection before Advanced.

Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I'm quite pleased with Advanced Disposal. I'm paying less than I paid for service with Veolia, the service is reliable and they offer a large recycling bin. I don't understand what's "socialist" about offering county residents affordable, reliable service.

Closing the trash drop off was a big mistake. I live in Stone Creek so now I can’t put anything beside the street, now I have to haul it to the landfill and pay by weight. I had to pay $15, then I have to pay the trash pick up monthly. Something is wrong in this picture. I have a lot of yard waste, so now I have to take it to the landfill every time I clean yards.

I live in Brooks County. A while back, a limb fell at the edge of my yard. I called the road department asking to remove it. I was told they could not help because it was on private property. Later driving down Johnson Short Road, I saw the road department removing limbs from a yard. I have found out the limbs were on private property.
