Why is it that people only complain about what doctors and dentist charge? How about hairdressers, nail salons, cosmetic counters, movie theaters? No one seems to complain about a $100 hair appointment.
If you are looking for a great dentist, go see Dr. Garner. Best dentist office ever! We love Dr. Garner, Renee, Sally and everyone else there.
There are so many Rant and Raves daily that discuss other people's children, yards, driving, eating habits, manners, etc. It would be time more productively spent to be working on self-improvement, instead of concern about everyone else. It is a lot easier and more pleasant to point out the flaws in others than it is to look in the mirror.
Money is the prime motivation in Christian churches today. You most likely will not see the gospel printed in the Sunday bulletin, but you will see something about paying tithes, the church budget, new building fund, or the amount of money collected during last week's service.
If a child has been approved to go to a school other than the school in the area the child resides, why is it a problem for the child to ride the bus that comes to the area? Especially when the bus does not have to go out of the way to pick the child up. The child was approved to go to the school, but is denied transportation to and from school. Valdosta Board of Education, please get it together.
There are rude office staff every where you go. They don't appreciate their jobs anymore and take it for granted. They make friends with the boss, staff, and don't worry of being fired.

I have been a strong advocate of Buy Berrien but unfortunately since I have been furloughed, had my city and county taxes increased (even though the market value of my property has greatly decreased) and my insurance has gone up over $100 per month, I will no longer be able to Buy Berrien. I am forced to look at other markets. Berrien may want me to place my faith in them but they haven't placed their faith in me.
If you don't have a costume at Halloween you are not trick-or-treating, you're begging. And please stop the "drive-by trick or treating.” If my neighborhood is good enough to come into, then at least park your car and walk around. Halloween is getting tackier every year.

I am a student at Valdosta State University, I pay thousands of dollars in tuition, but I am not allowed to use the Student Recreation Center because I am not taking summer classes. I was told that I have to pay $45 to use the Rec Center during the summer. As if I don't pay enough already... Utterly ridiculous.

Truly embarrassing that our community euthanizes 12 animals daily. Our citizenry hasn’t progressed to understand responsibility. The end result in these horrible economic times is the ongoing suffering of animals. Other locales nearby have solved this problem; mandatory spay/neuter and breeding licenses are needed to stop this scourge. Let’s get serious, please!

I think what the County Commissioners are doing to Deep South Sanitation is outrageous and I think the citizens of Lowndes County should remember this during the next election. They are giving away freedom of choice. This man had this trash collection before Advanced.

Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I'm quite pleased with Advanced Disposal. I'm paying less than I paid for service with Veolia, the service is reliable and they offer a large recycling bin. I don't understand what's "socialist" about offering county residents affordable, reliable service.

Closing the trash drop off was a big mistake. I live in Stone Creek so now I can’t put anything beside the street, now I have to haul it to the landfill and pay by weight. I had to pay $15, then I have to pay the trash pick up monthly. Something is wrong in this picture. I have a lot of yard waste, so now I have to take it to the landfill every time I clean yards.

I live in Brooks County. A while back, a limb fell at the edge of my yard. I called the road department asking to remove it. I was told they could not help because it was on private property. Later driving down Johnson Short Road, I saw the road department removing limbs from a yard. I have found out the limbs were on private property.
