I hope Al Sharpton finds time to visit the mother in Brunswick whose baby was shot point blank in the forehead while in his baby stroller. Perhaps the reverend could also counsel the angry young black man who pulled the trigger. Oh wait, the baby was white. Never mind.

I thought that all schools had dress codes that the teachers and substitutes had to follow? When I walk into the school it looks like they are headed to the pool instead of the classroom. Tank tops and skimpy skirts are not allowed. Come on, administration, make them follow the rules. Thank you, to the teachers and staff that do adhere to the dress code.

Property tax should be based on value. School taxes should be separate and assessed to each household equally, no exemptions. The rich, middle and poor should pay equally for children's public education.

I want to thank everyone who had a part in our children being able to golf with the pros. My son really enjoyed it. He said it was so much fun and he felt like he was with movie stars. Thank you for something positive and free for our children to participate in.

In addition to writing in to the rant and rave, I hope you actually called the school too regarding the head lice. Or went up there in person. At my son's school, they check pretty often and then send a note home, letting parents know their child was checked and whether lice was found or not.

The ranter who believes every criticism of Barack Obama is racially motivated should be ashamed. He draws criticism because he is an epic failure, dishonest and corrupt. If you apply the measures all presidents are judged by, he has not had a single success. Even as the junior senator from Illinois, more often than not, he failed to show up and cast a vote on behalf of his constituents. Please arm yourself with facts and objectivity and don’t be so quick to cry racism where none exists.

One thing is for sure, the NRA and organizations like Georgia Carry are pulling the strings of spineless politicians. However, a majority of people support gun regulations such as background checks and a ban on high-capacity magazines.
