Valdosta State tries to Pack the Park Saturday

VALDOSTA — Valdosta State will host its third annual Blazer Softball Pack the Park at 2 p.m. Saturday. For the third consecutive season, Pack the Park comes on Valdosta State’s doubleheader against Gulf South Conference rival Alabama-Huntsville.

For Valdosta State’s annual Pack the Park, VSU athletics will be giving away free t-shirts to the first 100 fans in the gates. Students get in free with a student ID.

The Blazers are 2-2 against Alabama-Huntsville in Pack the Park meetings, dropping two last year to the then-No. 1 Chargers, but beating No. 12 UAH twice in 2010. This season, the Blazers are No. 1 in the nation, while Alabama-Huntsville comes to Valdosta ranked 21st.
