INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. —
Valdosta State’s golf team fired a final round 310 to finish 11th at the Brickyard Crossing Intercollegiate at the par-72 Brickyard Crossing Golf Club Tuesday.
VSU tallied a three round total of 905, and finished 48 strokes behind tournament winner Barry.
Nova Southeastern was second at 862, followed by Western Washington (872), CSU-Monterey Bay (883) and Southeastern Oklahoma State (892). Chico State opened the second five with an 894, while Missouri-St. Louis was seventh at 897.
The remainder of the top 10 included Washburn at 900, Grand Valley State at 902 and CSU-Stanislaus at 903.
St. Edward’s followed the Blazers at 906, while the Indianapolis A team (907) and B team (911), Central Missouri (921), and Drury (954) rounded out the field.
John Fordham paced the Blazers with an eight-over 224 to tie for 27th, while Abdul Sihag was two strokes back and tied for 34th. Nate Anderson shot a 228 to finish tied for 41st. Austin Graham finished with a 233 to tie for 58th, while Clarke Hendrick shot a 234 to tie for 65th.
The Blazers return to action on Oct. 1, when they open play in the AFLAC/Cougar Invitational in Columbus.
