VALDOSTA —
The Valdosta State baseball team has announced its date for its third annual Fall Academy.
The Academy will be held Aug. 11 at Billy Grant Field in Valdosta. It allows high school players throughout South Georgia the opportunity to work in a four-week camp program that begins with a pro-style combine workout and then includes seven instructional game dates on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
The camp is designed for those individuals that are serious about taking their baseball skills to the collegiate level. Players must be in grades 10-12 and must be looking for collegiate level instruction to prepare them for their upcoming seasons and a possible future in college baseball.
In-game instruction from the Blazer coaching staff, featuring head coach Greg Guilliams and assistant coach Todd Guilliams, a prescribed throwing program, active stretching with arm care routine and video analysis are key features of the camp.
