VALDOSTA —
Valdosta State is set to induct another class into its Athletic Hall of Fame.
The university will induct its 17th Hall of Fame Class Feb. 2 at 12 p.m. in the University Union.
The VSU community will welcome eight new members to the VSU Athletic Hall of Fame. They are as follows: Kay and Jerry Jennett (Contributors, 1973-Present), Annika Biro (Women’s Tennis, 2003-06), Jon Good (Golf, 1995-96), Andre Hampton (Football, 1991-94), Jim Madaleno (Athletic Trainer, 1982-85, 1989-97), Robert Morgan (Baseball, 2004-05) and Don Reason (Men’s Basketball, 1972-75).
The luncheon will take place in the ballroom of the Student Union building at the intersection of Oak St. and Baytree.
Tickets for the event are $25 per person, and seating is limited. Interested persons can find a registration card by visiting www.valdoststate.org/BlazerHoF. Completed forms are due by Jan. 25.

Blazers fall to Molloy in eight innings

The Valdosta State softball team made the long journey to Salem, Va. Tuesday, leaving Valdosta at 10:30 a.m. with devoted fans cheering them out of the parking lot.
