The Lowndes girls soccer team started the 2013 season exactly the same way it ended the 2012 season: with a 2-0 loss to Collins Hill.
This time, though, the game was much closer and competitive. After being dominated in the 2-0 playoff loss to Collins Hill last May, the Vikettes held their own Friday night, losing 2-0 in overtime to the second-ranked Lady Eagles. Head coach Chris Willis said the game served as a measuring stick for his team.
