CONOVER, N.C. —
Valdosta State’s golf team shot a final round 305 to finish 20th at the NCAA South/Southeast Super Regional Tournament with a 57-over 921 at the par-72, 7,064-yard Jones Course of the Rock Barn Golf Club Wednesday.
Georgia College and State won the event with a five-over 869. Second-place Barry was a stroke behind. Nova Southeastern tallied an 872 to come home third, and was followed by UNC-Pembroke (876) and USC-Aiken (880). Florida Tech finished sixth with an 881, while North Alabama was seventh with an 883. Georgia Southwestern was 21-over and Lynn 22-over. Florida Southern rounded out the top 10 with an 888.
Rollins was 25-over to finish 11th. Armstrong Atlantic State and Barton tied for 12th, a stroke behind Rollins. West Florida was a stroke behind at 891 and Carson-Newman shot an 892. Eckerd finished 16th at 895. Wingate was three strokes behind and in 17th, while Coker (901) and Columbus State (902) rounded out the field.
Will Repko paced the Blazers, shooting a final round 73 to finish tied for 70th with a 12-over 228. John Fordham (79) tied for 85th with a 231, while Clarke Hendrick was a stroke behind and tied for 90th after shooting a final round 77. Michael Rafalowicz shot a final round 83 to tie for 100th with a 237. Nate Anderson rounded out the squad with a 241 to tie for 105th after shooting a 76 on Wednesday.
