The Clinch County varsity baseball team beat Irwin County 8-5 Friday night in Ocilla. The Panthers pounded out 10 hits and scored seven runs in the fifth inning to secure the win. KJ Infinger was for 3 for 3 with three runs batted in and two runs scored. Bill Hendricks drove in a pair of runs and Brent Hendley finished 2 for 4 with a run scored. Trevor Ellis earned the win; he struck out two and allowed three earned runs on seven hits in 6.2 innings pitched.
Turner County tops Lanier, Charlton routs Echols
Turner County scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning and beat the Lanier County Bulldogs 3-1 Friday night in Lakeland. The Bulldogs are now 4-3 on the season. In the loss, Theo Vaggalis was 2 for 3 and was the only Bulldog with multiple hits on the night.
Charlton County routed Echols County 17-1 Friday night in Statenville. With the loss, Echols County fell to 1-5 on the season.

Georgia Sparks win championship in Orlando
The Georgia Sparks Basketball Teams traveled to Orlando, Florida to compete in Spring Fling 2 Super Region Tournament which took place at Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando. This was a busy weekend for the Sparks which brought three teams and over 30 parents.
