VALDOSTA —
The Genesis Baseball Academy will hold its five-week Fall Instrumental Academy starting Saturday.
The academy, hosted by newly-hired Valwood baseball coach (and former Brooks County coach) Robert Shipman, will run five consecutive Saturdays (Sept. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29) for players ages 7-15. The camp costs $390 for first-time students and $360 for returning students.
The price includes a Genesis Baseball Academy jersey/shirt, hat and prorated showcase fee, along with instruction from Shipman, who has been coaching baseball for over 20 years.
Genesis Baseball Academy is an offseason developmental system established by Shipman that focuses on both physical and mental aspects of baseball. The goal of Genesis is to create habits that can be maintained after the program is completed that will prepare participants for continued development and success.
The Genesis Baseball Academy will now be held at Valwood’s baseball stadium.
To register for the academy, contact Robert Shipman at (229) 305-0033 or e-mail genesisbaseball@gmail.com. Genesis Baseball Academy is online at www.genesisbaseball.com.
