Cook’s Matt Foster signed a National Letter of Intent to play college football at Middle Tennessee State on Wednesday.
Foster also had offers from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, South Alabama and Jacksonville State, although UT-Chattanooga was the only other finalist.
An All-State selection, Foster finished his senior season with the Cook Hornets with 63 tackles, seven for a loss.
Foster was also voted to the All-Region 1-AA team, which is voted upon by the coaches of the region.
This year’s signing marks the second straight year a Hornet player has signed with a Division I school.
Last year, Cook’s Travin Henry signed with Georgia Tech.
