The Georgia Christian basketball teams split a pair of games with Citizens Christian Tuesday night.
The Lady Generals fell 41-31, despite 20 points from Jervis Johnson. Morgan Sykes finished with 13 points and six rebounds. Lindsey Levings finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Georgia Christian boys won 70-55, and improved to 5-1 on the season.
Senior C.J. Lynch finished with 33 points, 19 rebounds, seven blocks and five assists. Jeremiah Beverly added 16 points and Zack Bunion finished with eight points and five rebounds.
Both Georgia Christian teams visit Valwood tonight.

VSU eliminated
Valdosta State softball’s bid for a national title repeat came up short this season.
The Blazers were eliminated from the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament Saturday with a 7-5 loss in nine innings to Armstrong Atlantic University, a school based off the Georgia coast in Savannah. -
