VALDOSTA —
The varsity basketball teams from Georgia Christian and Valwood split their games on Thursday night.
Valwood’s boys defeated Georgia Christian 42-37. Zack Savino scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Valiants, while Rashad Mathis added 11 points and seven rebounds. C.J. Lynch led Georgia Christian with 11 points. Quinton Carter and Jeremiah Beverly added nine points apiece for GCS.
Georgia Christian’s girls beat Valwood 47-28. Lindsey Levings scored 20 points for the Lady Generals. Erin Copeland added eight points. Amanda Lupo was Valwood’s leading scorer, with 12 points.
