VALDOSTA —
MetroOne, in partnership with the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce, invites you to nominate dedicated and energetic young leaders for the Metro Valdosta Emerging Leader Award. The award will be given to the top-ranking young professionals in our community following a competitive selection process.
Emerging Leader selection will occur by an outside judging panel. Candidates will be judged on the following: Career Accomplishment, Professional Expertise, and Community and Charitable Involvement. Candidates must be employed as a full-time professional, including self-employment, in the Metro Valdosta area and fall within the MetroOne age range of 21-40. The candidate or their business must be a Chamber member. Visit the Chamber Web site, www.ValdostaChamber.com, and select Business Directory for a list of Chamber members. Candidates may be nominated or may nominate themselves. Visit www.MetroOneValdosta.com to nominate. All nominations must be submitted by July 28 at 5 p.m. Once nominated, an application will be sent to the nominee for completion and must be submitted by July 30. Announcement of the 2010 Metro Valdosta Emerging Leaders will occur in September at a reception in their honor at the Turner Center for the Arts.
John Trombetta of Valdosta State University, MetroOne co-chair stated, “The Metro Valdosta Emerging Leader award is in its second year. Last year’s winners are a testament to the talents of young professionals in this area. They are also a validation of the award itself. Each winner was deserving without question. The second year will be no different. I have no doubt that we will receive some excellent nominations. The judges will have their work cut out for them.”
