ADEL — Cook County authorities continue to investigate the death of a 13-year-old boy found dead at his home Wednesday.
Around 1:15 p.m., authorities were dispatched to the 200 block of Hemp Spring Road in Adel in reference to a shooting. They discovered the body of a 13-year-old boy.
The victim was home alone with his 14-year-old brother when the shooting occurred.
Details are sketchy at this time.

“We can combine greater freedom with greater accountability,” Obama said from the White House. Plenty more states are bound to take him up on the offer.
