ADEL — Cook County authorities continue to investigate the death of a 13-year-old boy found dead at his home Wednesday.
Around 1:15 p.m., authorities were dispatched to the 200 block of Hemp Spring Road in Adel in reference to a shooting. They discovered the body of a 13-year-old boy.
The victim was home alone with his 14-year-old brother when the shooting occurred.
Details are sketchy at this time.
