COLUMBUS, Ga. —
Former congressman and former secretary of the Army Howard “Bo” Callaway is hospitalized in intensive care in Atlanta.
Callaway was a key participant in the creation of Callaway Gardens and is a former president and CEO of the tourist attraction. A statement released by Callaway Gardens says the 85-year-old Callaway was taken to Emory University Hospital last Wednesday with a severe headache. Doctors determined he had a cerebral hemorrhage and performed surgery.
The Ledger-Enquirer (http://bit.ly/Kw0VPz ) reports that he remains in ICU.
