Ga. man, 87, run over by his truck identified

NEWTON, Ga. — Authorities in south Georgia have identified a Baker County man who was run over by his own truck.

WALB-TV (http://bit.ly/XNhdrW ) Wednesday reported that 87-year-old Robert Hawkins died after he got out of his truck, which authorities say was left in gear.

Sheriff’s officials say Hawkins died on his property and his death has been ruled accidental.

Newton is about 25 miles southwest of Albany.
