Two sentenced in fatal Georgia meth lab explosion

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — A man and woman accused in a Lilburn meth lab explosion that killed three children have pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and drug trafficking.

Neibi Brito and Joseph Perez entered the pleas days before their murder trial was set to begin in Gwinnett County Court. Authorities say the November explosion killed three of Brito’s children. WSB-TV (http://bit.ly/ZIQkry) reports a fourth child Brito was pregnant with at the time of the incident was born with Brito was in jail and has been taken to live with the woman’s mother.

Brito and Perez were each sentenced to 50 years in prison and have agreed to testify against another man who is suspected of leading the drug operation.
