Man arrested in fatal Ga. car dealership shooting

ATLANTA — A 21-year-old Gainesville man has been arrested on charges of murder, armed robbery, theft and weapons offenses in a fatal shooting that unfolded inside a Gainesville car dealership.

Gainesville Police Cpl. Kevin Holbrook says Mark Antonio Taylor II is being held in the Hall County Jail. Holbrook says a tipster recognized a truck that was stolen after 42-year-old Charles Weaver — an employee of the dealership — was fatally shot Friday.

Police released a photo of the stolen truck — a red 2011 Nissan Frontier, stamped with Mitsubishi, Kia and Nissan logos. The truck also had “Carriagecars.com” printed on it in white letters. Holbrook says police found the truck in Atlanta, and Taylor has no connection to the dealership or the victim.

It is unclear if Taylor has a lawyer.
