TSPLOST unofficially defeated

VALDOSTA — Election results are slowly coming in to the Secretary of State's election website, but as of 11:30 p.m., it appears that not only did voters in the Southern District vote no to the sales tax, only three of the 12 special districts passed it.

Although some counties were reporting difficulties in getting their final numbers posted Tuesday night, it appears that TSPLOST got a red light across most of Georgia, including the Atlanta area. It only passed in the coastal areas surrounding Savannah.
