NWS issues heat advisory for Lowndes

- — The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory which is in effect for Lowndes County from 12-8 p.m. Saturday.



Highs are expected to reach 100 to 105 degrees. Due to a combination of humidity and high temperatures, it will feel as hot as 105 to 112 degrees. These conditions will increase the risk of heat-related illnesses such as extreme heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
