COLUMBUS, Ga. —
When blue-collar comedian Ron White visits Georgia this month, he plans to focus his standup routine on a Columbus high school principal who was reassigned after showing one of White’s video clips at a faculty meeting.
The comedian tells the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer (http://bit.ly/I1GUOU ) he also offered to speak if students hold a rally supporting the principal.
Columbus High Principal Marvin Crumbs was reassigned last week after showing teachers a clip of White’s “Can’t Fix Stupid” routine. The clip made vulgar references to women’s breasts.
White tells the newspaper he plans to fan the flames of the controversy in his upcoming April 28 performance in Columbus. He says the people in charge of the school system exemplify the point of his routine.
The transfer provoked student protests and a petition drive.
