VALDOSTA — Nathan Deal, Republican candidate for governor, will be in Valdosta on Thursday.
At 7 p.m., Deal will host a meet and greet at Republican headquarters in the Barclay Square Shopping Center on Baytree Road.
This event is open to anyone who wants to meet Deal and learn more about him.

“We can combine greater freedom with greater accountability,” Obama said from the White House. Plenty more states are bound to take him up on the offer.
Georgia’s agriculture commissioner traveled to Washington on Thursday and urged members of Congress to reform a federal agricultural guest worker program to make it easier for farmers to use.
Local civil rights activists and citizens made it clear Thursday night of their experiences with certain officers from the Valdosta Police Department who profiled citizens based on the color of their skin.
