Delta Air Lines officials say there has been a shooting near the airline’s chief maintenance operations center in Atlanta.
Clayton County police say one woman is dead following an incident at an address on Aviation Boulevard, where Delta has a facility, but they would not confirm whether it was the same location.
In a statement to The Associated Press, Delta says no Delta employees were injured in Monday’s shooting near a security gate to the Delta TechOps facility.
The facility is down the road from the main entrance to Delta’s headquarters. The airline said the shooting appeared to be related to a domestic dispute and referred questions to police.
Delta’s technical operations division provides maintenance and engineering support services for Delta’s fleet of aircraft along with customer aircraft, engines and components.
