Willis watched as Worms kicked Lowndes past Kennesaw Mountain with a 2-1 win that was decided in penalty kicks Tuesday night at Martin Stadium. -

Lowndes’ Garner steps down
After nine years on the job, Shan Garner has stepped down as the head coach of the girls basketball team at Lowndes High School.
He finished his Lowndes coaching career with 186 wins and 56 losses — a winning percentage of .768. He led the Vikettes to four Region 1 championships, most recently in 2012. -

The basketball season at Valdosta State is officially over.
The men’s basketball season came to an end in dramatic fashion Sunday evening when the Blazers lost a heartbreaker to Christian Brothers in the Gulf South Conference championship game.
The women’s came to an end later in the night, when the Lady Blazers failed to receive a bid to the NCAA South Region tournament. -
Camden County's Herron hired at Prince Avenue Christian
