LOWNDES COUNTY — The Lowndes County Board of Commissioners recently approved reciprocal training and mutual aid agreements with Brooks and Lanier counties and the cities of Hahira and Quitman.
Citing the need for more comprehensive protection, interim County Manager Brad Arnold said the agreements will come in handy during emergencies.
“For example if Lanier has a fire and their fire department for some reason can’t respond or the fire is too large for them to contain, they can call us for assistance,” Arnold said. “And likewise they can give us assistance.”
