Michael Joseph Brannick

VALDOSTA — Michael Joseph Brannick, 50, of Valdosta, formerly of Queens, N.Y., passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta after a short battle with leukemia. He was born on March 24, 1952, in Queens to the late William and Mary Brannick. Michael is survived by his wife, Sheila Brannick of Valdosta; two sons, Bradley Brannick of Athens and Devin Brannick of Lawrenceville; three stepchildren, Nathan, Joshua and Sarah Suggs, all of Valdosta; stepmother, Phyllis Brannick, New York; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Joan Brannick, New York; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Laura and Richie Luciuero, New York; Linda Wilson, New Jersey, and Jane and Mike Clark of California; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at Austin’s Steakhouse. Willie S. Daniel

VALDOSTA — Willie S. Daniel, 94, of Valdosta, died suddenly Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, at Fellowship Home. She was born in Alapaha on Sept. 30, 1907, to the late Augustus Lee and Nancy Cothlene Buck Shepard. Mrs. Daniel was a homemaker, a member of the First United Methodist Church, Friendship Walker Harris Sunday School Class and Circle No. 5 at First United Methodist Church and a previous member of WCTU. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Ligget of Long Beach, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, Charles L. and Phyllis B. Daniel of Valdosta; five grandchildren, Brenda Wratschko, Timothy Bettis, Warren Scott Daniel, Jill Daniel Sanders (Joe) and Tammye Daniel Cato (Mike); great-grandchildren, Victoria Lee Sanders, Brooke Ashley Sanders, Meredith Grace Sanders, Michael Lee Cato Jr., Lauren Ashley Cato. Mrs. Daniel was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Horace Daniel, her grandson, Jerome Bettis, and her brother, Charlie Smith. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Adams officiating. Burial will be held in Willacoochee City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. — Carson McLane Funeral Home



Onnie Mae Moore

NASHVILLE — Onnie Mae Moore, 95, of Nashville, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at Berrien County Hospital. She was born on Aug. 11, 1907, in Berrien County to Jerimiah and Laura Gaskins Tyson. She was a homemaker and member of Nashville First Baptist Church. She was the widow of John Felton Moore who died in 1963. She is survived by four daughters, Betty Hollingsworth, Mae Sharpe, both of Jacksonville, Fla., Bonnie Miller, Nashville, Ruby Brookshier of Albany; three sons, Hayward Moore of Dallas, Texas, John F. Moore Jr., Nashville, Charles Moore, Rome; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Williams officiating. Burial will be held in Westview Cemetery. Audrey Ann Shasteen

SARASOTA, Fla. — Audrey Ann Shasteen, 73, of Sarasota, Fla., died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at the residence of her son. She was born on April 10, 1929, in Penobscot County, Maine to Clyde and Dorothy Ellis. She was a homemaker and member of St. John United Methodist Church in Sarasota, Fla. She is survived by her husband, Verl Kaler Shasteen of Sarasota, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Kim Shasteen of Nashville; and four grandchildren. The remains will be taken to the Robarts Funeral Home in Sarasota, Fla., for graveside service to be held on Friday in the Palms Memorial Park. –Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville

VALDOSTA — Eva Bass Steward, 88, of Valdosta, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2002. She was born on April 23, 1914, to the late Shennie and Mattie Townsend Bass of Valdosta. Mrs. Steward was a reti





red beautician and a member of the Woodmen of the World. She loved the Lord and faithfully served Him as a member at Crossroads Baptist Church. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gordon T. and Pam Steward, Houston, Texas; grandson and wife, Michael and Sheila Steward, Lakewood, Wash.; granddaughter, Patricia Steward, Saranac, Mich.; sister, Montine Abildgaard, Valdosta; sisters-in-law, Willene Bass, Lucile Steward, Irma Jean Guest, all of Valdosta; one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shellie S. Steward and two brothers, Archie Bass and Otis Bass. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at the Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
