Ira Leonard (Buddy) Corbett

LAKE PARK — Ira Leonard (Buddy) Corbett, 68, of Lake Park, passed away quietly on Sept. 26, 2002, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law after lengthy health problems. He was born in Wildwood Fla., March 27, 1934. He lived most of his life in Lake Park. Buddy was honored to have so many special friends. He was a farmer and loved sharing all the wonderful vegetables and food God had blessed him to grow until he retired because of health reasons. Many days Buddy sat out by the road and entertained various friends as he played his guitar and sang but they could always go home with vegetables or homemade jelly. Mr. Corbett believed in Jesus and was saved some years ago and is home with Jesus forever more. Mr. Corbett was preceded in death by his parents, W. Yancey and Emmie Crews Corbett; his wife, Edith Ann Hicks Corbett; and a brother, Howard Y. Corbett. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Annie Lee and Walter Harrelson; one son, Edward F. Corbett of Jacksonville; two grandchildren, Dillion and Page Corbett; three brothers, Arnold M. Corbett, Huey (Elizabeth) Corbett, Marvin (Mary) Corbett; three sisters, Margie (Milton) Shepard, Myra (John) Miller, Inez (Dallas) Neighbors; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Sally Peavy. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today and Sunday at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, Sept. 30 at Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. Edgar Woods and the Rev. Colbert Croft officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery in Echols County. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. — McLane Lakewood Funeral Home



Sarah Reynolds

RAY CITY — Sarah Reynolds, 63, of Ray City, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 27, 2002, at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born in Selma, Ala., and had lived in the Valdosta area for most of her life. She was Baptist by faith. Survivors include her husband, George Reynolds of Ray City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lorrie R. and Eddie Brown of Lake Park, Liz and James Hewett of Valdosta; grandchildren, Brandon Fraser, Courtney Fraser, Kelsie Brown and Christopher Reynolds; one sister and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services, Valdosta, with burial following in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until funeral time today at the funeral home. — Music Funeral Services of Valdosta



Michael Joesph Brannick

Michael Joseph Brannick, 50, of Valdosta, formerly of Queens N.Y., passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at Austin’s Steakhouse. — Cremation Society of Georgia



Julian Q. Copeland Sr.

Julian Q. Copeland Sr., 85, of Lake Park, passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2002. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home of Lake Park.
