Wanda P. Humphrey
LAKE PARK — Wanda P. Humphrey, 79, a 50-year resident of Lake Park, died Saturday, May 24, 2003, after a short illness at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Thomasville on Sept. 30, 1923, to the late Wiley Jackson and Nancy White Porter. Mrs. Humphrey was a homemaker, a member of the Withlacoochee Quilters Guild, the Eastern Star, and TOPS. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Andy Malham of Andover, Kan. and Desirai and Steve Pannell of Lee, Fla; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Savannah Rai Pannell of Lee, Fla; two half-brothers, William Porter of Baltimore, Md., and Robert Earl Porter of Perry, Fla; two half sisters, Dorothy Slaughter and Carolyn DuBose, both of Perry, Fla; one son-in-law, Ralph Hendry of Lake Park and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, B.A. Humphrey, and her daughter, Rai Jene Hendry.
Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Bruce McCracken officiating. The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Carson McLane Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Crippled Children’s Hospital. — Carson McLane Inc.

VALDOSTA — Ellen Marie Goff, 59, of Valdosta, died Sunday, May 25, 2003, at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Lake City, Fla., on Feb. 27, 1944, to J. D. and Idell Deloach Church. Mrs. Goff was a homemaker and Church of God by faith.
She is survived by her mother, Idell Hughes of Statenville; her husband, Wesley Goff of Valdosta; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jeff Long of Ft. Pierce, Fla., Gene and Becky Long of Valdosta; Fla., Dale Long of Statenville; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Scott Everett of Jasper, Fla.; two grandchildren, Samantha Everett and Alisa Nicolas; step-grandchildren, Candy, Angel and Arisha Bostick; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Mary Young of Jasper, Fla., Buck and Michelle Church of Statenville; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Alvin Register of Statenville; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at 4 p. m. at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park with burial in Statenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7-9 p. m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Pentacostal Church in Statenville. — McLane Lakewood Funeral Home.
Eunice Cook Hunt
QUITMAN — Eunice Cook Hunt, 80, of Quitman, died Saturday, May 24, 2003, at the Presbyterian Home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Abbeville, Ala., she was the daughter of Wyatt and Zodie Elmore Cook. She was a homemaker and a member of the Quitman Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Homer Hunt of Quitman; four daughters and sons-in-law; Kathy Williams of Quitman; Joyce and Billy E. Morris of Rome, Doris Walker of Perry, Fla., Patricia and Stephen Faber of Jasper, Fla.; one son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Judy Hunt of Albany; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one-great-great grandchild; one brother James E. Cook.
Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Quitman Church of God with Rev, James Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in Welcome Hill Cemetery. — Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home

Mrs. Clyde Carter Lastinger, 84, died at home on Saturday, May 24, 2003, after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2003, in Sunset Hill Cemetery with Dr. Charles Adams officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Carson McLane Funeral Home.
