VALDOSTA — The regional blood supplies for O negative and O positive are at a critical level, and supplies are insufficient at this time to handle potential emergencies, American Red Cross officials announced Friday.
“There is less than one-third of a day’s supply of O negative and less than one day’s supply of O positive in inventory,” said Becky Barnes, donor recruiter for the Southern Region of the American Red Cross.
In addition to type O blood donors, type B blood donors are needed.
