HAHIRA — Wallace Hart, Jr., 48, of Hahira died on Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at his residence. He was born on Aug. 20, 1953, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. to the late Wallace Hart, Sr. and the late Frances Arnold Phillips. He moved to Lowndes County three years ago and attended Cowboys for Christ in Davie, Fla. Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Sherill and Mike Freeman of Davie, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Brenda Hart of Hahira; step brother and step sister-in-law, John and Bonnie Hart of Lakeland; and stepmother, Wilma Hart of Bemiss. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman. Letha Copeland Lester
VALDOSTA — Letha Copeland Lester, 95, of Valdosta, died on Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. She was born on Oct. 25, 1906, in Lowndes County to O.P. and Gertrude Wisenbaker Copeland. She was a homemaker and attended Lake Park Church of Christ. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Robert, Jr. and Pat Lester of Valdosta; grandchildren, Dr. Robert III and Kitty Lester of Montgomery, Ala., Joyce and Stan Coppage of Valdosta, Doug and Peggy Lester of Lake Park; sisters and brother-in-law, Lois Bazemore of Valdosta, Mary Ellen and Vance Wisenbaker of Tallahassee, Fla., Hilda Collins of Nashville, Tenn.; great- grandchildren, Mark (Honey) Coppage of Valdosta, Kyle Coppage of Valdosta, Clif Coppage of Valdosta, Claire Coppage of Valdosta, Robert (Jill) Lester IV of Little Rock, Ark., Josh Lester of Montgomery, Jeff Lester of Pensacola, Fla., Lauren Lester, Zack Lester, and Paige Lester, all of Lake Park; great-great-grandchild, Tyler Coppage of Valdosta; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alfred Lester, Sr.; two brothers and five sisters. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Dasher Cemetery with Mr. Jeff Turner and Mr. David Nelson officiating. Hattie Frances Price
VALDOSTA — Hattie Frances Price, 92, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, after a lengthy illness. Born in Bulloch County to the late Rufus Emmett and Betsy Gay Parrish, Mrs. Price has lived in this area since 1948. Mrs. Price had been a member of Lee Street Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Harriett and Bill Fersch, of Vero Beach, Fla.; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Houston and Gloria A. Price of Valdosta, Doyle Price of Blacksburg, Va., Phillip D. and Moni Price of Germantown, Tenn., and Milliard Bryan and Betty D. Price of Pensacola, Fla. Survivors also include 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Price is preceded in death by her husband, M.B. Price. Funeral services for Mrs. Price will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Schappaugh will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. NASHVILLE — Drew Vickers, 90, of Nashville died on Monday, Nov. 19, 2001. He was born on Dec. 15, 1910, in Berrien County to the late Cager and Tisha Gaskins Vickers. He was a retired farmer and school bus driver and member of Old Cherry Grove Primitive Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva Brogdon Vickers, who died in 1997. Mr. Vickers is survived by three daughters, Naomi and Joe Lloyd of Nashville, Magalene and Larry Metts, Willacoochee, Geneva and John Washington of Augusta; one son, Harvey Vickers of Nashville; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Nellie Faulkner of St. Augustine; and several nieces and nephews.
