Blevins promotion announced

VALDOSTA – Keith Blevins, publisher of The Valdosta Daily Times, has been named vice president and division manager of the Southeast Division for cnhi, (Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc.), the parent company of The Times.
Blevins’ increased responsibilities gives him oversight of 12 daily and nine weekly newspapers in Georgia, North Florida and North Carolina, in addition to his duties as publisher of The Times.
Blevins was named publisher of the Valdosta newspaper in April 2001. He also served as its publisher from December 1994 to January 1996.
“I am thankful for the opportunity and look forward to the challenges this presents,” Blevins said. “I am very proud of The Times and the improvements we’ve made in the last two years as we strive to provide the highest quality news product for our readers, and I hope to duplicate that success in all of our markets.”
Blevins is active in the community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the YMCA, the United Way, and the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce.
In his new position, Blevins will be responsible for the daily newspapers in Americus, Cordele, Dalton, Jonesboro, Milledgeville, Moultrie, Thomaston, Thomasville, Tifton and Valdosta in Georgia; Clinton and Lumberton, N. C.; and North Florida newspaper group.
