Annette M. Davis

NASHVILLE — Annette M. Davis, 91, of Nashville died Nov. 4, 2003, at Memorial Convalescent Center of Adel.

She was born Nov. 2, 1912, in Patsburg, Ala., to the late William Lester and Katie Zinnia Watson Moseley. She lived in Albany most of her life moving back to this area the past 15 years. She was a retired LPN.

She is survived by one daughter, Glynnette Scott of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Dan Braswell, Vicki Sikes, Cindy Sirmans, Linda Braswell, Sara Braswell, Michael Golembiewski; 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Denzil Catrett of Pell City, Ala. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa M. Braswell; and one great-granddaughter, Jennifer Carol Touchton.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Blakely City Cemetery with Denzil Catrett and the Rev. Larry Land officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home, 2022 N. Hutchinson Ave. — Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home, Adel



Edward Lee Knight

ENIGMA — Edward Lee Knight, 55, of Enigma died Nov. 3, 2003.

He was born Oct. 3, 1948, to the late Caulie and Nancy King Knight. He lived in Texas and Mississippi before moving back to Berrien County three months ago. He was a former engineer for Georgia Pacific and an Army veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Carol Overstreet of Nashville, Heather Cersey of Adel, Nancy Nix, Enigma; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Alvin Knight, Nashville, Ted Knight, Lake Park; four sisters, Dorothy Lavender, Tifton, Carol Lynn Douberly, Faulkville, Nell Robb, Savannah, and Vicki Clanton of Nashville.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Paulk officiating. Burial will be held in Pleasant Cemetery in Berrien County. Synnilla Louise Thompson

LAKELAND — Synnilla Louise Thompson, 91, of Lakeland passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 4, 2003, at Lakeland Villa Convalescent Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in Berrien County and had lived in Lakeland most of her life. Mrs. Thompson was a member of First Baptist Church. Preceding Mrs. Thompson in death were her husband, Lester Lee Thompson; and daughter, Sandra Burkhart.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Polly and Murray Tomlinson of Valdosta; son-in-law, Jon Burkhart of Lakeland; five grandchildren and spouses, Dawn E. Burkhart and Ben Biggs, Jon S. and Tammy Burkhart, Mark and Odalys Burkhart, Kathy Dennis, and Sheila Tomlinson; six great-grandchildren, Kimberly Burkhart, Matthew Burkhart, Jessika A. Burkhart, Jocelyn Burkhart, Andrew Dennis and Aaron Dennis; one stepgreat-grandchild, Beth Biggs; several nieces and nephews; and extended family, Bob, Jan, Mae and Bucky Roquemore.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, at First Baptist Church in Lakeland with burial following in Greenlawn Cemetery. Funeral services for Cathryn Jones, 80, of Orlando, Fla., will be held on today, Nov. 5, 2003, at 3 p.m. at the Bethel AME Church Cemetery in Quitman with the Rev.
