ARGYLE — Mrs. Eula Mae Evans, 88 of Argyle passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003 in the Satilla Care Center, Waycross, following an extended illness.
A native of Camden County, she was born Oct. 8, 1914, to the late Jesse M. and Lillian O’Quinn Teston. She was a lifelong member of the Argyle United Methodist Church. She was retired from Brockway Standard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney R. Evans; three grandchildren, Andrea Evans, Daniel Evans and Brian Evans; four brothers, Clarence Teston, Cecil Teston, Judge Teston and Henry Teston.
Survivors are one daughter, Shirley Corbitt, Lakeland; five sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Carolyn Evans, Marietta, Donnell Evans, Villa Rica, Jesse and Kathy Evans, Lakeland, Larry and Janice Evans and Harry Evans, Argyle; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a very special niece, Margaret Lee, Manor; and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. Evans will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at New Pine Grove Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Burial will be held in Pine Forest Cemetery.
Mrs. Evans will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. this evening with visitation after 5 p.m. Mrs. Evans will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.

NASHVILLE — John T. Hall, 95, of Nashville, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003 at Berrien Nursing Center.
He was born July 7, 1908 in N.C. to George and Anna Hackett Hall. He was a retired farmer and member of Adel Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Juanita Adams Hall of Nashville; five daughters, Shirley Bennett, Adel, Connie McEntyre, Ashburn, Martha Folsom, Moultrie, Janice Welch and Wanda Folsom, both of Nashville; four sons, Ronnie Hall, Hahira, Martin Hall, Jessie Hall, Tony Hall, all of Nashville; 32 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marie Gibson of Lake Park. He is preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Hall and Lamar Hall and a daughter, Marsha Lynn Taylor.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Mr. Bill Ward officiating. Burial will be held in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today with the family receiving friends from 7-9 p.m. — Lovein Funeral Home
VALDOSTA — Elaine McDougal, 43 of Valdosta was born to T.J. and Marilyn Elaine McDougal on Oct. 4, 1959, in Lowndes County.
On Monday morning, Sept. 23, 2003 at 6:32 a.m. the Death Angel sealed the eyelids of Elaine and quietly took her to a peaceful rest. Elaine attended the public schools in Valdosta. She was a member of Paradise Missionary Baptist Church in Thomasville where Dr. Johnny B. Straughter was her pastor.
She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Marilyn E. Ward of Valdosta; one daughter, Ebony Nichole McDougal of Valdosta; two sisters, Felecia Bell and Tracy Jones, both of Valdosta; one step sister, Renelda Nadine Jackson (Carlton); two granddaughters, Destiny Danielle McDougal and Arianna Reberson, both of Valdosta; a host of aunts and uncles; nieces, Tiffany Bell, Whitney Robinson, Brittany Dean and Tyecia Mosley; two nephews, Dexter Jones and Devante Sanders, both of Valdosta; two special friends, Marjorie Ewings and Terry Anthony; also a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday Sept. 27, 2003 at Mt. Carmel Holiness Church. Bishop Alton Litman, Pastor and Bishop, Dr. Johnny B. Straughter officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. — Scott and Roberts Mortuary
HAHIRA — Virginia Tucker, 70, of Hahira died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. She was born on Aug. 28, 1933, in Milledgeville to the late Jesse Heard and Callie Harris Tunnel and had lived in Nashville since 1962 before moving to Hahira in 1992. Mrs. Tucker was a member of the Hahira United Methodist Church and had worked with the Red Cross in the 1950s. She was a retired teachers aide with the Berrien County Middle School and was active with the Berrien High Boosters.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Harris and Vicky Tucker of Tifton, David and Carol Tucker of Baxley; two daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Dean Duncan of Savannah, Melody and Neal Carter of Hahira; four grandsons, Britt Tucker, Matt Duncan, Tad Duncan and Lee Carter; one granddaughter, Noel Carter; sister-in-law, Peggy Johnson of Rex; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wallace Tucker.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at the Hahira United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lynn Hurley officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Cemetery in Berrien County. Mrs. Tucker will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the services. VALDOSTA — Suzanne S. Worley, 42, of Valdosta, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003 at her home. She was born in Ithaca, N.Y. on Oct. 27, 1960, and had lived in Valdosta most of her life. Mrs. Worley was a Christian who loved the Father Lord and served Him proudly and supported and loved Shepard’s Chapel. She loved encouraging children in the local schools providing Georgia Power Citizenship Math and Reading Awards for many years. She was a loyal employee with Georgia Power for 19 years where she received awards and commendations and had many friends whom she adored and cared for deeply.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Worley Jr. of Valdosta to whom she was a loving wife to for 24 years, the doting and proud mother of Joshua K. Worley of N.C., Carissa A. Worley, Grayson H. Worley and Dylan E. Worley all of Valdosta whom she cherished and adored; her parents, Barbara and Ronnie Andrews of Lake Park, Richard and Diane Sharman of The Woodlands, Texas.; her sisters, Cindy Dame of Lake Park, Deedra Sharman and Daria Sharman of The Woodlands, Texas; mother-in-law, Shirley Carmichael of N.C.; very close friends, Wanda Bayman, Debra DeLoach, Shelly Buckley, Shirlene and Ricky Cantrell, all of Valdosta, Barbara Goodwin and Brandee Holt both of Birmingham, Ala. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Scott and Viola Sharman and D.J. and Ruth Brett.

Trevionne Terrell Martin, 11 months old, died Sept. 25, 2003, at Shands Medical Center in Gainesville, Fla. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced later by the Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home of Quitman.

Melissa Lynn Samples, 14, of Adel passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2003 at her residence after a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Lenox Christian Fellowship in Lenox with the Rev. Jimmie Hinson officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Melvin Williams, 78, of Sparks, died Sept. 21, 2003, at the Memorial Hospital of Adel Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Bethel Baptist Church in Adel and the Rev. Deloris Woodard, 63 of Lakeland, passed this life Sept. 24, 2003, at the South Georgia Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bethel AME Church in Lakeland. The Rev.
