Brian Kilpatrick
ADEL — Brian Kilpatrick, 23, of Adel died Feb. 10, 2004, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 27, 1981, in Lowndes County to Jerome Kilpatrick and Dorothy Annette Thomas Sinclair. He lived most of his life in Cook County. He was a construction worker and member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Brandon Kilpatrick of Ty Ty; father, Jerome Kilpatrick, Nashville; mother and stepfather, Dottie and Danny Sinclair; two half brothers, Beau and Brad Webb, both of Adel; stepbrother, Beau Daniel Sinclair, Barney; one half sister, Katelyn Kilpatrick, Lakeland; one stepsister, Lana Sinclair, Adel; paternal grandparents, Juan and Natalie Bargus of Nashville; maternal grandparents, Kent and Iris Thomas, Linda and Don Morrell, all of Adel. He was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Kilpatrick.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Life Baptist Church with the Rev. Dillard Ensley officiating. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. William Lloyd Nesbitt, Jr.
MORVEN — William Lloyd Nesbitt, Jr. 59, died at his home in Morven on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004. Recently of Brooks County and formerly of Lowndes County, Mr. Nesbitt was born the son of the late William Lloyd Nesbitt, Sr. and Mary F. Nesbitt on Nov. 22, 1944 in Clarksville, Ark. Retired from the U. S. Air Force, Mr. Nesbitt was a Baptist.
Survivors are his wife, Linda of Morven; daughter, Debra Jean and husband Sean Sthalnaker of Alaska; son, Matt Nesbitt of Little Rock, Ark.; daughter, Cathrine and husband Nathan Whalley of Madison, Fla.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Ed Nesbitt of Arkansas; stepchildren, Deborah and husband Adam Gardner of Hahira, Billy Kachline and wife Tamara of Fla., Leigh Ann and husband Mike McClelland of Morven, Kristie and husband Shawn Staley of Valdosta.
Graveside services and committal with Military Honors are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at 2 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home this evening from 6 – 8 p.m. — Carson McLane Funeral Home
Sallie V. Parker
BELLEVILLE, Fla. — Sallie V. Parker of Belleville, Fla. passed away Thursday Feb. 5, 2004 at Kendrick Hospital Green Cove Spring, Fla. after a long illness.
Born in Belleville, Hamilton County, Fla. to the late Collie and Catherine Postell, Mrs. Parker was a homemaker and wife of the late Rev. Charlie Parker of Valdosta.
Survivors include her sisters Careather Williams, Vivian Livington, Belleville, Fla.; brothers, Kevedite Postell (Betty), Philadelphia, Pa., Willie C. Postell, Orlando, Fla., Archie Lee Postell, Miami, Fla.; a devoted nephew, Willie Richardson, Jr., Jacksonville, Fla., Gene Williams, Valdosta; god daughters, Eartha Coffee and Maggie Woods, Valdosta; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening at Thomas Chapel, Jasper, Fla.

George Arthur Robinson
VALDOSTA — George Arthur Robinson, 89, of Valdosta, formerly of Ellenton, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at Lake Haven Nursing Home in Valdosta.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at Buck Creek Cemetery with the Revs. Gary James and Lennon Howell officiating.
Born April 17, 1915, in Colquitt County, Mr. Robinson was the son of the late Ocia Powell Robinson and Joseph Allen Robinson. He was a sawmill owner and a farmer. Mr. Robinson was a member of Ellenton Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Novella Fender Robinson, and a daughter, Cecilia Dale Robinson Graham.
Survivors include a son, J.A. Robinson and wife Charline of Ellenton; two daughters, Betty Canady and husband Frank of Valdosta and Allie Jean Rigsby and husband Larry of Leesburg; grandchildren, Andy Canady and wife Pat of Jacksonville, Art Canady and wife Charlene of Snellville, Andrea Adams and husband Joey of Valdosta, Jamie Robinson and wife Ellen Cobb-Robinson of Moultrie, Pam Clark and husband David, Tami McQueen and husband Joey and Gary Graham all of Pascagoula, Miss., Kim Garrett and husband Mercer of Leesburg, and Brandon Rigsby and wife Danielle of Columbus; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral chapel.

Samuel Altman Whitehead
BARNEY– Samuel Altman Whitehead, 71, of Barney passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004 at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Fulton County and had lived most of his life in Atlanta before moving to Barney five years ago. He was employed with Texaco as a driver for 39 years. Mr. Whitehead was Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Helen B. Whitehead of Barney; three sons; a daughter; six grandchildren; mother-in-law, Ruth Bolton, Barney; two sisters, Mary Calhoun, Jacksonville, Fla., Mira Sammons, Gray, Ga.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 in the chapel of Tom Wages Funeral Home in Snellville with burial following in North Atlanta Memorial Park. The Rev. Bob Calhoun will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.

Reatha Vickers Williams
VALDOSTA — Mrs. Reatha Vickers Williams was born in Douglas, Ga. on July 24, 1923 and departed this life on Feb. 9, 2004 after an extensive illness.
Sis. Williams was the youngest of seven children, five of which preceded her in death. Her husband, John Wesley Williams, also preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Dasher High School and Albany State College and taught school for several years in the Lowndes County School system.
She leaves to lament her passing three sons, Donald Kenneth (Butch) Williams and wife Barbara, Reginald Keith (Church) Williams and wife Trisha, and Ralph Stanley Williams. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Louise Quarterman; three grandsons; one step-grandson; and one step granddaughter; and a host of niece, nephews, neighbors, and friends. She was especially blessed to have a former student as a devoted caretaker in the person of Mrs. Deborah Johnson McCoggle who always went well above and beyond the call of duty.
Sis. Reatha Vickers Williams was a lifelong member of the Macedonia First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at the Macedonia First Baptist Church. The Rev. Skylyn Hagins, pastor, Chaplain L.C. Hughes, officiating.
