Angie Paulk Connell
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — Angie Paulk Connell, 37, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., formerly of Adel, passed away on June 30, 2004, at her residence after a sudden illness.
She was born on Jan. 16, 1967, in Adel to J.B. Paulk Jr. and Mary Lou Webb Lane. She lived in Adel most of her life before recently moving to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Her occupation was insurance sales and she was a member of Adel Church of God.
She is survived by two sons, James Ellis and Jacob Ellis, both of Roseburg, Ore.; one daughter, Heather Ivec of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; father, J.B. Paulk Jr., Sumner, Ga.; mother, Mary Lou Webb Lane, Moultrie; three sisters, Cindy Gibbs, Jacksonville, Fla., Lisa Moore, Tifton, Julie Martin, Moultrie; half brother, Bryan Paulk, Sumner, Ga.; maternal grandmother, Lessie Earline Webb, Valdosta. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Adel Church of God with the Rev. Charles Blair, the Rev. Tracy Swanson and the Rev. John Paulk officiating. Burial will be held in Paulks Chapel Cemetery in Worth County. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. this evening at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home, 202 N. Edith ‘Granny’ Clanton Fulgham
LAKELAND — Edith “Granny” Clanton Fulgham, 91, of Lakeland, passed away early Friday morning, July 2, 2004, at her residence following a brief illness. She was born in Cook County and was a lifelong resident of Lanier County. Mrs. Fulgham was retired from Louis Smith Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Lakeland United Methodist Church. Preceding Mrs. Fulgham in death was her husband, Billy Fulgham, four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Paul and Delories Johnson of Valdosta, Elise Cole, Lakeland, Dorothy and Walter Livingston Jr., Lakeland, Becky Fulgham, Lakeland; grandchildren, Billy Young, David and Lisa Johnson, Susan and Jamie Merritt, Robin and Tracy Lee, Mark Young, Dory and Curtis Blackwell, Tosha and Steve Morgan, Michael and Jennifer Fulgham, Kevin Livingston, Jonathan and Wendy Livingston, Joseph Livingston, Nicole Livingston; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three special nephews and one special niece, Ulyuse Richardville, Larry Clanton, Ronnie Clanton and Sonjia Carbonelle as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 5, 2004, in Lakeland United Methodist Church with burial following in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 7 p.m., Sunday, July 4, 2004, with the family receiving friends 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bessie Greene McDaniel
VALDOSTA — Bessie Greene McDaniel, 74, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, July 1, 2004, at her residence after a lengthy illness. Born on Sept. 14, 1930, in Sevierville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late William Albert and Martha Ellen Watts Greene and widow of Edward Preston McDaniel. She was a retired nurses’ aide from South Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. McDaniel was a member of the American Legion, Disabled Veterans Association, Moody AFB Sergeants Association and First Baptist Church.
Survivors are a daughter, Vera McDaniel Sparks, Valdosta; son, Bruce Alan McDaniel, Valdosta; six granddaughters, Colby Clark, Rebecca Croft, April Sparks, Stephanie Sparks, Kimberly McDaniel, Julie McDaniel; sister, Ashley Lange, Forrest Park, Ill.; and a daughter-in-law, Priscilla McDaniel of Jacksonville, Fla. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Venkataramiah; two sons, Arthur Calvin McDaniel, Preston McDaniel Jr.; brother, Benny Greene; and two sisters, Jeannie Shown, Jessie Lindsey.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 5, 2004, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 3-5 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. — Carson McLane Funeral Home
Steve Andrew Smith
VALDOSTA — Steve Andrew Smith, 54, of Valdosta died Thursday, July 1, 2004, at his residence.
Born in Valdosta, he was the son of the late Julian M. and Myra Touchton Smith. Mr. Smith was a carpenter by trade.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Julian M. and Jane L. Smith Jr., of Stockton, Ga.; three nephews, Dean and Laura Smith of Valdosta, William Allen Smith, Athens, Jarod Ashley Smith, Valdosta; two nieces, Lisa Wyers of Stockton, Ga., Tina and Dan Castleberry of Hahira. Also surviving are great-nieces, Abbie Smith, Josie Smith, Katie Smith; and a great-nephew, Gage Beverly.
