Evader Anne Calhoun

BEAUFORT, N.C. — Evader Anne Calhoun, 85, of Beaufort, N.C., died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, at Taylor Extended Care in Sea Level, N.C.

Her funeral service will be held at a later date.

She is survived by four daughters, Carol Anne Garner of Beaufort, N.C., Sharon Dale Tabb, Boise, Idaho, Linda Frances Kent of Montgomery, Ala., and Susan Annette Thomas of Arlington, Texas; son, William Thomas Calhoun of Panama City, Fla.; three sisters, Emma Walker of Lake Park, Fla., Athella Murray of Cartersville, Ga., and Frances Musgrave of Live Oak, Fla.; she is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. — Munden Funeral Home, Morehead City, N.C.



William S. Gregory

TUCSON, Ariz. — M. Sgt. William Samuel (Bill) Gregory, 45, of Tucson, Ariz., passed away Aug. 4, 2004. M. Sgt. Gregory was born on July 21, 1959, in Valdosta, Ga. He graduated from Valdosta High School in 1977, attended Valdosta State College and had served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years in Military Intelligence. He recently returned from a tour in the combat zone.

He is survived by his wife, Air Force MSgt., Linda A. Gregory; and son, William G. Gregory, two stepsons, Albert Sanchez and Edward Rosenstein of Tucson, Ariz.; his mother, Sammie S. Gregory; father and stepmother, William H. and Emily Gregory; sisters, Gail Gregory, Jennifer (Pat) Mayes; niece, Shelby Mayes; and nephew, Brad Mayes, all of Valdosta; one stepbrother, Bryan Strickland; and stepnephew, Jacob Strickland of Savannah.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., today, Aug. 10, 2004, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1825 N. Alvernon Way, Tucson. Interment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. — Adair Funeral Home, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd., Tucson, Ariz.



Fannie Ballentine Mason

TALLASSEE, Ala. — Fannie Ballentine Mason, 79, of Tallassee, Ala., died on Aug. 8, 2004, at Shands/University of Florida Medical Center in Gainesville, Fla., following a brief illness. She was born on Feb. 9, 1925, in Tallassee. She was the daughter of the late William O. and Annie Ballentine. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Murray Hunter and Thomas Mason, both from Tallassee. She was a member of the Mt. Hebron Church of Christ for many years and a member of the Tallassee Church of Christ in recent years.

She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, William E. and Mazel Ballentine of Montgomery, Ala.; one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Tim Richardson of Mobile, Ala.; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Brenda Hunter of Lake Park, Michael and Susan Hunter of Birmingham, Ala.; and a son, Mark Hunter of Brooklyn, N.Y. Her grandchildren are Emily and Josh Hoggert, Ashley, Jonathan and Sarah Richardson of Mobile, Ala. and Patrick Blake and Charmain Hunter, Lauren and Justin Gaskins of Valdosta. Her two great-grandsons are Hunter and Payton Gaskins. She had many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, at Jeffcoat-Linville Funeral Home Chapel in Tallassee. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. — Jeffcoat-Linville Funeral Home, Tallassee, Ala.



Miranda Marie Webb

CECIL — Miranda Marie Webb, 22, of Cecil passed away Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

She was born on Feb. 18, 1982, in Pondera Cop., Mont. to Allen Webb and Teresa Harper Webb. She was employed with Fresh Beginnings and attended Winds of Change Church in Hahira.

She is survived by her father and stepmother, Allen and Sandra Webb of Cecil; mother, Teresa Webb, Nashville; sister, Melissa Webb, Alapaha; maternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, James and Phyllis Harper, Nashville; maternal grandmother, Anita Harper, Nashville; paternal grandmother, Reba Webb, Sparks.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Holland officiating. Burial will be held in Fellowship Cemetery in Cook County. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. this evening at Lovein Funeral Home. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
