Willard Eugene Graham

ADEL — Willard Eugene Graham, 76, of Adel passed away on March 23, 2004, at his residence.

He was born on Sept. 16, 1927, in Jacksonville, Fla., to the late William Ollie and Gertrude Connell Graham. He lived most of his life in Cook County. He was a retired farmer and Amoco Oil Co. crop guide manager for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Moore Graham of Adel; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Judy Graham, Ted and Angie Graham, all of Adel; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Jerry Hamner, Pam and Joe Nugent, all of Adel; nine grandchildren, Ann Dampier, Eric Graham, Shelly Hamner, all of Adel, Craig Hamner, Nashville, Justin Graham, Jeremy Graham, Brad Bristol, Chad Nugent, Brandon Nugent, all of Adel; nine great-grandchildren, Ashley and Zachary Graham, LeeAnn and Tommy Dampier, Kala Hamner, all of Adel, Blaine Hamner, Owasso, Okla., Leanna Hamner, Lenox, Blake and Julie Hamner, Nashville. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Timothy Wayne Norris; and one brother, Elwood R. Graham.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Beulah Holiness Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Sloan and the Rev. Kenneth Matthews officiating. Burial will be held in Beulah Church Cemetery. Ruby Mae Johnson

VALDOSTA — Ruby Mae Johnson, 74, of Valdosta, died on Monday, March 22, 2004, at South Georgia Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on May 14, 1929, in Tempo, she was the daughter of the late Mac P. Sr. and Lettie Mae Goodin Connell. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Church of God of faith.

Survivors are her husband, Harry Johnson of Valdosta; daughter, Lorine Johns of Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Larry C. and Toni Johnson of Wauchula, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Parks of Cecil, Lois Dowling of Deland, Fla., Mattie Bell Dowling of Port Orange, Fla.; brother, Mac P. “Billy” Connell Jr. of Port Orange, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2004, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Benny Olliff and the Rev. Franklin Butler officiating. DeAubry McCollough Kitching

HAZLEHURST — Funeral services for DeAubry McCollough Kitching, 90, of Hazlehurst, who passed away Tuesday morning at the Berrien County Hospital in Nashville will be held Friday morning at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Randy Vaughn will officiate with interment to be held in the Palms Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Kitching was a native of Elba, Ala., and resided in Jeff Davis County the past 25 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Hazlehurst, and was a retired teacher formerly employed with the Jeff Davis County School System. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Dora Walker McCollough. Mrs. Kitching was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and the Georgia Educators Association.

Survivors include one son, Sam Kitching of Macclenny, Fla.; daughter, Linda Davis of Nashville; sister, Ellen Furlow of Ocala, Fla.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Glenn Miller Mann

BRANDON, Fla. — Glenn Miller Mann, 83, of Brandon, Fla., died on Sunday, March 21, 2004. He was married to Ruth Young for 61 years.

Glenn served in WWII as a radio/bombardier on a B-52. Feeling God’s call to minister to young soldiers away from home, Glenn completed his seminary training at Bright Divinity School at TCU, re-enlisting in the Air Force as a chaplain in 1952. He was a pastor to two congregations following 21 years of distinguished military service; First Christian Church in Valdosta, and later, Brandon Christian Church. Glenn was a fine man, a loving husband and father, and a fisher of men.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth, their four children; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2004, at 3 p.m. at the Brandon Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brandon Christian Church in Glenn’s honor. — Stowers Brandon Chapel, Brandon, Fla.



Johnny Rowe

NASHVILLE — Johnny Rowe, 50, of Nashville died Sunday March 21, 2004, at his residence.

He was born on April 2, 1953, in Berrien County to Inell House and the late Junius Rowe. He was a carpenter and Army veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Miranda Miley, Ashley Miley, Chasity Miley, all of Darlingron, S.C.; four sons, Johnny Rowe Jr., Atlanta, Larry Rowe, David Rowe, both of Black Mountain, N.C., Michael Rowe, Darlington, S.C.; two grandchildren; mother, Inell Rowe, Nashville; three brothers, Richard Rowe, Nashville, Stanley Rowe, Patterson, Tony Rowe, Nashville. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shonda Marie Rowe.

Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2004, in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Spikes officiating. Per his wishes, the remains will be cremated. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. this evening at the funeral home . — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville



Junius Rowe

NASHVILLE — Junius Rowe, 78, of Nashville died Sunday March 21, 2004, at his residence.

He was born on June 3, 1925, in Berrien County to the late Early and Annie Jowers Rowe. He was a retired farmer and school custodian. He was a member of Knight’s Memorial Baptist Church.

He is survived by three sons, Richard Rowe, Nashville, Stanley Rowe, Patterson, Tony Rowe, Nashville; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Billy Earl Rowe, Carlsbad, Calif. He was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Rowe.

Nella McQuaig Wilcox

LAKELAND — Nella McQuaig Wilcox, 95, of Lakeland, passed away Monday evening, March 22, 2004, at Louis Smith Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born Dec. 7, 1908, in Ware County where she resided until February 2002, at which time she came to Lakeland Villa. Mrs. Wilcox was a member of Winona Park United Methodist Church in Waycross. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wilcox.

She is survived by a daughter, Minnie Faye Bullard of Waycross; son and daughter-in-law, Augustus and Susie Wilcox, Lakeland, Ga.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Music Funeral Home in Waycross with the Rev. Edward Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.
