Brittany Tressler, a student at Berrien Middle School, has been named a U.S. National Award winner in English.

She was nominated for the award by her teacher, Sheila Hendley, and will appear in the U.S. Achievement Academy Official Yearbook, which is published nationally.

Tressler is the daughter of Patrick and Tonia Tressler of Nashville and the granddaughter of Bernard and Shirley Boyer of Nashville and Lynn and Karen Jarrett of Winter Haven, Fla.
