Ashley Jackson and Courtney Jackson were crowned Homecoming Queen and Princess at Dale Walker Football Field Friday night, September 26.

The event took place during the 2003-04 Homecoming half-time ceremonies.

As the lovely young ladies were escorted onto the field by their equally handsome escorts the air was filled with the sound of each couple’s name as they were called by the announcer, Mr. Andy Hart.

The first to receive their crown was the 2003-04 Miss and Mr. LHS Tori Lyons and Matthew Vann.

As Miss LHS, escorted by her father Ricky Lyons and Mr. LHS escorted by his mother Gwen Vann came forward they were recognized and received their crowns from last years royalty April Rhodes and Aaron Lindsey.

At last, the moment arrived and the 2003-04 Homecoming Queen and Princess were announced having been chosen by the Lafayette student body earlier in the week.

As the two Ms. Jacksons came forward they were crowned by last year’s Queen and Princess, Lindsey Geiger and Kary Waters.

Congratulations in the form of applause was heard throughout the stadium as the 2003-04 Homecoming Court left Dale Walker Football Field and another homecoming year became a memory to be tucked away in the archives of everyone’s memory….a moment in time to be treasured and enjoyed.
